Join us to rally for justice as we demand that Sanger College at Stony Brook University be renamed after a true hero!
Did you know that Margaret Sanger, namesake of SBU’s Sanger College, was a white supremacist activist who spent her entire career working to control the populations of every people group she deemed “unfit”?
Adding insult to injury, in addition to Stony Brook honoring a white supremacist with Sanger College, the building is right next to Douglass College, named after freed slave, abolitionist and statesman Frederick Douglass.
Many consider Stony Brook University a haven for diversity and inclusion, but this reputation is deeply undermined by the school paying tribute to the legacy of Margaret Sanger.
That’s why we are taking ACTION with a rally to demand the renaming of Sanger College after a true hero. We hope you will march with us on Monday, September 30th at 2:45pm EST at Stony Brook's Student Union!
